Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Resume Annex (the “Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the Service. These Terms apply to all users, including visitors, registered users, and paying subscribers.

2. Description of Service

Resume Annex is an AI-powered job search co-pilot that:

  • Optimizes your resume using AI to improve callback rates and language quality
  • Discovers matching job listings from multiple job boards and delivers ranked results
  • Provides cover letter generation (Pro+ tiers)
  • Tracks your job application status

Resume Annex does not apply for jobs on your behalf. We surface job listings with direct application links. You are responsible for submitting your own applications.

3. Accounts and Eligibility

  • You must be at least 16 years old to use the Service.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
  • You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • You must provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
  • One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits is prohibited.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Upload resumes or content that you do not own or have the right to use
  • Use the Service to generate resumes containing fabricated experience, credentials, or qualifications
  • Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, or extract data from the Service
  • Use automated means to access the Service in excess of rate limits
  • Share your account access with others (single-user subscriptions are for one user)
  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any applicable law
  • Attempt to circumvent security measures or access other users’ data
  • Submit content that contains malware, viruses, or malicious code

5. AI-Generated Content

The Service uses AI to optimize your resume. You understand and agree that:

  • AI-generated content is a suggestion, not a guarantee of employment outcomes
  • You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before using it
  • Resume Annex will not fabricate experience, but you should verify all output for accuracy
  • Submitting a resume with inaccurate information to employers is your sole responsibility
  • You own the content you upload; AI-optimized versions remain your property

6. Subscription and Payment

6.1 Free Tier

The Free tier is provided at no charge subject to usage limits defined in our pricing page. We reserve the right to modify or discontinue the Free tier with reasonable notice.

6.2 Paid Subscriptions

  • Paid subscriptions are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis
  • All payments are processed by Stripe and subject to Stripe’s terms
  • Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal date
  • You may cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the billing period

6.3 Voluntary 30-Day Confidence Guarantee

For eligible purchases made on or after July 23, 2026, ResumeAnnex.ai offers a voluntary 30-Day Confidence Guarantee. An individual customer may request one full refund for their first non-trial paid purchase of a Career Pass, Pro Monthly, or Pro Annual plan.

To qualify:

  • The refund request must be submitted within 30 calendar days of the transaction date and time shown on the customer’s receipt.
  • The request must be submitted by email to billing@resumeannex.ai.
  • The request must relate to the customer’s first eligible paid purchase.

Customers may use ResumeAnnex.ai, generate documents, complete their career diagnosis, and use the platform’s AI features before deciding whether to request a refund. Using the product does not void the guarantee.

Customers may request an eligible refund for any reason. They are not required to:

  • Prove dissatisfaction
  • Explain why the platform did not meet their expectations
  • Demonstrate that they failed to receive interviews or employer responses
  • Provide evidence of a particular career outcome

An approved refund will include the full amount charged for the initial eligible purchase, including applicable taxes, and will be returned to the original payment method.

When a refund is approved:

  • Paid access under the refunded purchase will end.
  • The customer’s account will return to the Free plan.
  • Existing account information and saved work may remain available subject to the features and limits of the Free plan.
  • A refunded Pro Monthly or Pro Annual subscription will be cancelled to prevent future renewal charges.

The voluntary Confidence Guarantee does not apply to:

  • Subscription renewals
  • Subsequent purchases
  • Plan upgrades, add-ons, or additional services
  • A second refund request by the same individual
  • Duplicate requests submitted through multiple accounts
  • Fraudulent requests
  • Transactions already subject to an active payment dispute or chargeback

These exclusions do not limit any rights the customer may have regarding duplicate charges, unauthorized transactions, billing errors, defective services, statutory withdrawal periods, or other mandatory consumer protections. One voluntary Confidence Guarantee refund is available per individual customer.

Cancellation and future charges

Customers may cancel a Pro Monthly or Pro Annual subscription at any time to prevent future renewal charges. Cancelling a subscription does not automatically create a refund for the current billing period. A refund must be requested separately and must qualify under this guarantee or applicable consumer law. The Career Pass is a one-time purchase and does not renew automatically.

No employment or interview guarantee

The 30-Day Confidence Guarantee concerns the customer’s satisfaction with ResumeAnnex.ai. ResumeAnnex.ai does not guarantee:

  • Interviews
  • Recruiter or employer responses
  • Job offers
  • Employment
  • Compensation
  • Promotion
  • Placement within a particular period
  • Any other specific career outcome

Employment results depend on factors outside ResumeAnnex.ai’s control, including the customer’s qualifications, experience, target roles, application activity, labour-market conditions, employer decisions, and use of the platform.

Statutory consumer rights

This voluntary guarantee is provided in addition to the customer’s mandatory legal rights. Nothing in this policy excludes, restricts, replaces, or overrides any cancellation, withdrawal, refund, warranty, chargeback, billing-error, language, disclosure, or other consumer right that cannot legally be waived under the laws applicable to the customer.

6.4 Legacy Purchases and Existing Subscribers

ResumeAnnex.ai will not apply this policy retroactively to reduce rights connected to an earlier transaction. Purchases and renewal charges incurred before July 23, 2026 will remain subject to the refund and guarantee representations presented to the customer when the applicable charge was incurred.

Customers with an active subscription purchased before July 23, 2026 will remain covered by the guarantee terms previously presented to them until they:

  • Cancel the subscription
  • Voluntarily change plans
  • Affirmatively accept replacement terms where required
  • Otherwise enter into a new purchasing arrangement

ResumeAnnex.ai will provide advance notice before materially different terms are applied to future recurring charges. Where applicable law requires affirmative agreement, the new terms will not apply until that agreement has been obtained.

7. Intellectual Property

  • Your content: You retain ownership of resumes and content you upload. You grant us a limited license to process your content to provide the Service.
  • Our content: The Service, including its design, code, and AI pipelines, is owned by Resume Annex and protected by copyright and other laws.
  • AI Displacer data: Anonymized, aggregated workforce data derived from consented user interactions is owned by Resume Annex and may be commercialized as enterprise data products.

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED CONTENT WILL BE ACCURATE OR SUITABLE FOR YOUR PURPOSES. USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR OWN RISK.

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RESUME ANNEX SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING LOST PROFITS OR DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Resume Annex from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the Service, violation of these Terms, or infringement of any third-party rights.

11. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms, suspected fraud, or abuse of the Service, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases. You may delete your account at any time via Account Settings.

12. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice in the Service at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Delaware.
